Abstract

This 13‑minute immersive film explores the visual and material culture of seventeenth‑century plasterwork in Southwest England, drawing on high‑resolution LiDAR scans captured at Lanhydrock House, Prideaux Place, Stafford Barton, and Boutport Street in Barnstaple. The film reveals the complexity of the ceilings’ design, the influence of continental print culture on their iconographic programmes, and the potential involvement of the Abbott workshop.
