Abstract
Bespoke software developed during a transcription project on British Library, Manuscript Harley 4431 makes it possible to analyze this very large corpus. Investigations so far have concentrated on variant spellings, on the incidence of different forms of the capital letters F and M, and on textual ornamentation; these are discussed in detail here. Further, guidance is given for other scholars wishing to use the software to examine the manuscript.
