Abstract
The neuronal circuits of the Basal Ganglia (BG) play an important role in movement control and it is known that without correctly functioning BG, the cortex’s ability to control movements is diminished. Parkinson’s disease (PD), for example, is primarily a disease of the basal ganglia.
