The study was conducted by Amanda Burton for a thesis entitled 'Towards a Circular Economy for Fishing Gear', submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of MSc Advanced Engineering Design, University of Plymouth, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Sept 2021.

The study was in collaboration with the Interreg INdIGO project 2019-2023.
