Governments at this year’s United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5.2) agreed to negotiate a legally binding treaty to end plastic pollution by 2024. We now need robust evidence on the effectiveness of, and trade-offs between, actions intended to reduce, reuse and recycle. We must also extend producer responsibility
