The necessity of including education about sustainability in nursing and midwifery programmes and clinical practice is supported by the Royal College of Nursing. In this article, we discuss efforts made to embed sustainability education at the University of Plymouth by integrating it into curricula. There is evidence of an emerging impact of this sustainability education in undergraduate nursing and midwifery training and, here, we present details of the resulting collaboration between academics and current nursing and midwifery students and alumni.
