Abstract
Wife Imitates Art is the collaborative practice of Sefryn Penrose and Angela Piccini, In it they create spaces of silliness and sexiness and very serious play. But they are also perpetually pitted against a particular middle-aged frauen angst that they inescapably create.'She Said Yes' is a series of tableaux created with strict constrains (mobile phone, self-timer, found costume, Google Photos editing suite) that are informed by the photographic aesthetics of the places in which they are taken, of coupledom, and the online performance of relationships.
