<jats:p>Bacterial lipopolysaccharide induces changes in intracellular NAD+ levels in a pro-inflammatory, but not an anti-inflammatory, macrophage model that are correlated with the release of the pro-inflammatory cytokine tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).</jats:p>
