dc.description.abstract

A high performance chelation ion chromatography system using chelating dye-coated columns for the determination of trace metals in several high ionic strength matrices is described. Spectrophotometric detection using 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) / zinc-EDT A and Pyrocatechol Violet post-column reagents was employed for the detection of divalent and trivalent metal ions respectively.
